Clamshell straightener facilitates roller inspection, cleaning

Coe Press Equipment has announced the availability of its new clamshell straightener with a design that allows the top rollers to rise up and separate from the bottom rollers to provide access for inspection and cleaning of the rolls. With this open-head feature, users can ensure the rolls are clean from debris that might otherwise mark the surface.
To raise the head that contains the top rolls, the user pushes a button that activates a hydraulic cylinder. The concept is applicable to any size straightener from the company.
