Sheet metal hemming press requires no hydraulics, plant air

Hirotec America offers the E3™ sheet metal hemming press.
Twin 20-HP electric motors power the machine's dual-crank drive units and can hem automotive closures without hydraulics or plant air. The electronically coupled dual-crank drive does not require mechanical interlocks, providing rigidity that can reduce wear and increase uptime, the company reports.
The press, which ships as a preassembled, one-piece unit, has 120-ton capacity and an eight-second cycle time.
