Murata Machinery USA Inc. has added two new 33-ton turret punch presses to its Motorum line. The M3048TG and M3058TG incorporate servo-driven ram drives that combine speed and power with tool availability and flexibility.
Both presses are available in Wiedemann- or spring-style tooling. The ram drive delivers heavy-duty punching at 510 hits/min. The servomotor drive mechanisms use energy only during punching.
The technology reduces postprocesses while supporting tapping, forming, marking, deburring, and automation options. Two-piece, heavy-duty frames with a pyramid-base design also provide rigid stability even at maximum tonnage.
The punch presses incorporate a new FANUC control with a touchscreen interface.
