Four-speed magnetic drill produces holes up to 4 in. deep

Hougen Mfg. Inc. has released the HMD934 portable magnetic drill. The compact unit can drill holes up to 4 in. deep and up to 3-1/16 in. dia.

The mag drill LED pilot light is built into the base of the magnet, allowing the operator to line up the pilot with the hole’s center location in all lighting conditions. A guide rail feed system helps maximize cutter stability and rigidity.

The two-speed motor with interchangeable gears gives the drill four speeds to help increase torque when using large-diameter cutters. Impactor points and a two-stage magnet help increase magnetic holding power by 30 percent when the drill motor is turned on, says the manufacturer.
