Mechanical punch stripper cleanly strips workpiece

March 13, 2007

Moeller Mfg. Co.'s True Strip die-spring-actuated mechanical stripper for punches is designed to strip the workpiece to prolong tool life and avoid double hits or parts stacked in the die.

The NAAMS specification-compliant device is compact, interchangeable, and fits directly on industry standard retainers with one screw. It can be used with a single punch design or custom multihole pierce punch applications.

The device's robust design has a stripper guided not only by the land of the steel can, but also by the stripper head. This dual-guided condition adds stability for side load.

The device can pierce and strip various materials to 2 mm thick. The design allows all stripping forces to be isolated completely in the stripper unit body, so that no forces transfer to any outside component. Stripping force can be adjusted by changing the spring.
