Straight-cut control made for milling, drilling, boring machines

Heidenhain has introduced the TNC 128 compact, straight-cut CNC. The intuitive control is designed for use with milling, drilling, and boring machines.

For program creation, the control provides "help"” graphics, practical prompts, machining cycles, and cycles for coordinate transformation. Its NC conversational keys help simplify program entry.

The unit features an integrated 12.1-in., TFT, color flat-panel display. The screen, the control, and machine operating panels, as well as the main computer with Celeron Dual Core 1.4-GHz CPU, are housed in one unit in the stainless steel operating panel. Cables are not required between the components.

The CNC can control up to four axes and one spindle. If the spindle is configured in an open loop, it can control up to five axes. Touch probes and edge finders can be connected.
