Resistance welding inspection system introduced

Automation Systems and Design (ASD) has introduced a vision-based product designed to inspect critical features of resistance welding electrodes.
The QCweld950 inspects tip diameter, angle, height, and alignment, and detects flaws, such as mushrooming. The system, which also provides dimensional inspection, has a load cell option to measure the force applied at electrode tips.
Suitable for robotic automotive chassis welding, the system allows operators to enter tolerance thresholds and pass/fail warning parameters, triggering the appropriate digital output.
