Distance measurement sensor has simplified teach-in, programming

April 14, 2009

SICK has introduced a new line of DT50 distance measurement sensors. They feature a high-definition distance measurement (HDDM) platform, which the company says provides greater precision at longer sensing distances.

The lightweight, compact sensors feature an intuitive display and keypad with a push button for simplified teach-in and programming. New applications include level detection in hoppers, bins, and chutes, as well as preprocess and closed-loop feedback in metal forming applications.
