Dust collector filter delivers MERV 15 efficiency

Camfil Farr Air Pollution Control (APC) offers the new HemiPleat® eXtreme nanofiber filter. The standard media delivers MERV 15 efficiency; a high-efficiency MERV 16 media also is available that delivers tested efficiency of 99.999 percent on 0.5-micron and larger particles by weight.

A proprietary trilayered technology is used to apply two layers of fine-pored nanofibers that act as a prefilter to the base media, capturing most of the dust at the surface before it embeds in the filter. This technology increases the filter's cleaning ability and allows the base material to have larger pore sizes than standard cellulose media to reduce pressure drop on such applications as laser and plasma cutting, welding, and thermal spray.

The filter comes in a choice of media, with models available for new and retrofit applications.
