Dust collector has explosion vent

Farr Air Pollution Control now offers its Gold Series® dust collector with a new explosion vent for applications involving explosive dust capture.

The X-vent is NFPA-approved and CD- and ATEX-certified. It has a multiribbed vent with negative static operating pressure of -80 in. and is designed to open up at 1 PSI or more (30 in. WC).

Rated at 350-degrees-F operating temperature, the vent comes standard on all new collectors requiring explosion protection. It also is suitable for retrofit use.

Industrial functions for the vent, which is manufactured from sanitary food grade stainless steel, include aluminum applications with grinding, cutting, and thermal spray.
