Dustvent Inc. has introduced the V series of dust and smoke collectors that gather smoke and medium- to fine-grain dust.
The units collect the pollutants in a first-stage filter and recirculate the clean air back into the building. An optional second-stage filter is available for fume removal. Quick-Access™l doors provide the operator with immediate access to the filters when needed. No tools are required to change filters.
The units come in 0.75- to 5-HP models. The DV5V20 model operates with a 5-HP 3/60/230-460 blower motor with a noise rating of 81 DB(A) without a muffler and 71 DB(A) with a muffler. It operates with a 200-sq.-ft. polyester filter from 1,350 to 2,600 CFM, depending on the static pressure.
Base styles include cabinet, rollout cart, hopper with 55-gal. drum, or open. Shaker types include ergonomic manual, electronic, or pneumatic. Carbon second-stage filters for weld smoke and fumes are available as factory assembled or as a field retrofit modification. HEPA second-stage filters may be used for clean room filtration. An explosion modification package is also available.
