Energy-saving dust collector control panel introduced

Micro Air® Clean Air Systems has introduced an energy-saving control panel for its line of dust collectors.

The Intelli-Touch® control panel reduces energy consumption with a built-in, variable-frequency drive that automatically controls motor RPM based on CFM required at the running static pressure. The control uses a soft start and ramp-up of motor speed designed to eliminate sudden power surges. Operators control all settings from the touchscreen.

With a built-in diagnostics feature, the control panel continually monitors all dust collector functions, providing maximum operating efficiency, longer filter life, reduced compressed-air usage, and slower fan speeds for quieter operation, the company states. The control eliminates external damper and slide gates in ductwork.
