Honeywell Safety Products (HSP) has introduced the Fibre-Metal® Roughneck® P2A hard hat for extreme work environments. The lightweight hard hat has a smooth, round design and matte finish.

Suitable for workers on construction sites and heavy industry job sites such as steel plants, foundries, forges, fabrication shops, and chemical plants, the hard hat is constructed of a proprietary injection-molded fiberglass compound. It resists nicks and cracks in tough environments.

The cap meets ANSI-Z89.1-2009 impact resistance tests at temperatures up to 370 degrees F. Its SuperEight® suspension, with eight load-bearing points, spreads weight over a wide area for improved balance, stability, and impact protection.

The hard hat is available with a choice of three headgear options: a nonslip/nonstrip ratchet, a SwingStrap™, or a TabLok™. It also comes ready to use with the Quick-Lok® or Speedy® Loop helmet attachment system for faceshields and welding helmets. Each of the cap's nine shades of solid-color resin provides a permanent, no-chip, no-peel finish.
