Glove offers cross-functional protection

Safety Today has introduced Brass Knuckle® SmartShell™ BKCR4499 gloves, which provide cross-functional protection with a glove construction that uses the company’s Fit, Form, and Function™ standard.

The gloves’ machine-knit, ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene shell offers ANSI cut level 4 protection with a strength-to-weight ratio that is 8 to 15 times higher than steel, the company reports. Layered construction helps the glove conform to the contours of the hand and includes flex points in the fingers, wrist, and palm.

Thermoplastic rubber padding is sonically welded to the back of the glove for protection from contusions, smash injuries, punctures, and object strikes, with pinch protection extending to each fingertip. The sandy finish of the black nitrile palm coating offers slip and abrasion resistance.
