Light curtain designed for applications that don’t require blanking, muting

Omron Automation and Safety has introduced the F3SG-RE global safety light curtain designed for machine guarding operations that do not require blanking or muting capabilities. The unit provides simple on/off detection for straightforward applications.

Finger- and hand-protection models are available with 0.55-in. resolution. The IP67-rated housing withstands water washdown without additional protective tubes. The light curtain is supported by 24-hr., multilanguage online diagnostics that allow operators around the world to check error details in their local language. They can immediately access online support and troubleshooting by using a smartphone or tablet to scan a QR code sticker applied to the machine.
