Limited-edition autodarkening welding helmet has battery assistance, grind mode

Lincoln Electric has launched its new, limited-edition Iron Man™ VIKING™ autodarkening welding helmet. This solar-powered helmet joins the 700G series and features authorized graphics inspired by the "Iron Man 2" movie and comic books by Marvel®.

In addition to the Iron Man™ character graphics and gold and red colors, the helmet system comes with battery assistance instead of an on/off switch, as well as a grind mode for weld prep and postweld cleanup.

The 18.3-oz. helmet features a 3.78- by 1.85-in. view size with continuously variable nine to 13 external shade control. It features continuously variable delay (0.1 to 1.0 sec.) and sensitivity to adjust for different welding applications and environments. The helmet also comes with a Sport-Pak-style welding helmet bag and Lincoln Electric bandana.
