Nanofiber dust collector filter has MERV 14 efficiency rating

A new HemiPleat® nanofiber dust collector filter is offered by Camfil Farr Air Pollution Control. The manufacturer applies a thick layer of nanofibers to the surface of the patented HemiPleat filter, yielding a MERV 14 efficiency rating.

The nanomedia is strong enough to handle dust from laser and plasma cutting, welding, and thermal spray, and it withstands pulse-cleaning for all types of dry dust applications. The product line includes MERV 14 and MERV 16 efficiency options, with a choice of high-performance standard or fire-retardant, cellulose-blend base media.

Open-pleat spacing results in better airflow through the cartridge. Dust releases readily during pulse cleaning, allowing less compressed air to be used for many applications. The filters are available to fit all types of new and existing cartridge dust collectors.
