Omron Scientific Technologies Inc. has introduced a status display touchscreen for G9SP programmable safety controllers.

This plug-and-play touchscreen displays safety I/O error codes and enables users to view the status of safety inputs and outputs without the cost of installing and wiring indicator lights. Users can reset up to four zones directly from the touchscreen.

The status display touchscreen's front panel is 3.78 by 3.78 by 0.28 in., with an active display area of 2.30 by 2.30 in. The display is LCD monotone, with 16 shades of gray. It is rated to provide more than 1 million touchscreen operations and satisfies relevant IEC and EN standards.

The software-based, stand-alone controllers are designed to be programmed quickly to provide safety control for small and midsized machines, and they can be reconfigured to meet evolving machine setup needs.
