Safety relay designed for two-hand applications

Norstat Inc. offers the Safe Z.2 series safety relay from Riese Electronic, designed specifically for use with two-hand control applications, such as presses or other hazardous machinery in which a worker's hands might be at risk of injury. The relay will operate only if both elements are pressed within 0.5 sec. of each other.

The relay has a compact, 22.5-mm housing and LED visual indicators for both state of operation and power. It is suitable for applications up to safety category 4.

The relay comes with two normally open safety, one normally auxiliary closed contact, and an output (PNP) that allows system monitoring via a programmable logic controller. It meets two-hand control standards in accordance with ZH1/456 and DIN EN 574.
