Omron Scientific Technologies Inc. has introduced D4GS-N slim safety door switches. Measuring 0.67 in. wide and featuring IP67 protection, the tongue-actuated unit is designed to fit in skinny spaces subject to water washdown cleaning. A reversible design enables either front or rear mounting, and an operation key with rubber mounting holes absorbs vibration and shock.

The switch is rated to provide a minimum of 1 million mechanical operations and 100,000 electrical operations. It resists vibration from 10 to 55 Hz and can operate in ambient temperatures from -22 to 158 degrees F (with no icing).
