September 13, 2005

Auburn Manufacturing Inc. offers a CD-ROM entitled "Are You Using FM Approved Fabrics in Your Facility," that targets those responsible for hot-work safety practices.

The CD gives an overview of the new hot-work product safety standard (FM Approval Standard 4950) and outlines the steps necessary to earn FM approval.

The CD documents the variety of tests that fabrics must undergo to receive FM approval. Tests include fire and thermal, paper ignition, charring embrittlement, and accelerated weather. It also provides additional safety information and tips for finding the right fabric for an application.
