Knuth Machine Tools USA Inc. offers the ABS 320C automated band saw with a twin-column guide system. It uses a powered pinch roller system with 3/4-HP hydraulic motor for automated, rapid material advancement. Designed with a limit switch to cut lengths accurately, the machine also comes equipped with a programmable part counter and an automatic height adjustment to limit space between the blade and the material.

The saw frame feed has an infinitely variable cutting speed from 65 FPM to 330 FPM and a main motor drive rating of 5 HP. There also is a rigid, dual-column guide for parallel cuts; a torque-resistant weldment; and a cutting capacity of 13.75 in. by 12.5 in.

The saw uses new helical gears and a hydraulic cylinder. The machine incorporates an automatic shutdown when the blade breaks for added safety and productivity.

Standard equipment includes a coolant system with three nozzles, a saw blade cleaner brush, a 48-in. feed roller table with linear stop, and an operator's manual.
