Manual cold saw suitable for prototype, limited production work

Kalamazoo Machine Tool has introduced the model C315/350 manual cold saw.

The saw uses a solid, hinge-type design that makes it suitable for prototype work or for limited production work in certain applications. A double vise assembly, with a 6-1/4-in. maximum opening, provides holding power on both sides of the cut to help eliminate burrs. The vise is mounted on a slide assembly for positioning the workpiece relative to the blade.

The saw features a 14-in. HSS blade, a three-phase TEFC motor, two-speed spindle (30 and 60 RPM), a totally enclosed transmission, 24-V controls, and built-in flood coolant.

The machine can cut round shapes up to 4 in. in diameter at 90 degrees and 3-3/4 in. in diameter at 45 degrees. It handles square and rectangular shapes up to 3-3/4 by 5 in. at 90 degrees and 3-3/4 by 3-3/4 in. at 45 degrees. The guards are removable for cleaning.
