Production band saw monitors cutting force, adjusts speed and feed accordingly

Kasto Inc. had introduced the KASTOwin line of band saws designed for production sawing of solid material, tube, and profiles.

Available in five models, the machines combine ball screw feed with linear guides in conjunction with a SmartControl that stores cut jobs by the user’s part number. The KASTOrespond feature monitors cutting forces and adapts speeds and feeds accordingly. Operators need enter only cut length, number of cuts, and material grade.
