October 13, 2009

Advanced Machine & Eng. Co. (AME) has announced the introduction of the AMSAW® S300 sawing system, designed to cut ferrous and nonferrous metals.

Its capacity is 3 to 12 in., and it uses cermet or carbide-tipped, disposable or regrindable saw blades in diameters from 24 to 36 in. The spindle motor is 60 HP/45 kW. The system allows for cut lengths up to 30 in. and multi-indexing when length exceeds 30 in. Accuracy for length is ±0.005 in.

The saw's compact design incorporates hardened spindle gears with minimum backlash. Unattended sawing is possible with the automatic bar loading table. The system can be designed and built to customer specifications if required.
