Three-axis drilling, marking, sawing machine introduced

Knuth Machine Tools USA Inc. has introduced the new BeamCenter CNC 1200 saw and drill press center. It offers centrally controlled, customizable beam production, performing simultaneous three-axis drilling, marking, and sawing.

The machine features four station tool changers per drill spindle, maximum 47- by 31-in. sawing capacity with swiveling from 60 to -45 degrees, a feed and discharge unit with material positioning up to 66 ft., and marking of static materials with a movable embossing head.

The machine is equipped with the Siemens Simatic PC control. Programs for automatic operation can be captured, edited, and managed directly at the machine. Its input templates (masks) provide direct access to all machine and machining data.
