Automatic plate-processing system punches, shears simultaneously

Trilogy Machinery Inc. has introduced the new Sunrise APS fully automatic plate-processing system. It can punch and shear simultaneously.

The fully enclosed system is driven by a rack-and-pinion infeed that can handle up to 40-ft. lengths of material at speeds up to 40 FPM. Standard features include pneumatic clamping, hydraulic plate hold-down, hydraulic stripper, touchscreen control, and triple punch.

The system allows hands-free operation for processing flat bar up to 20 in. wide. Models featuring the triple punch allow the operator to assign one of three punches to any particular hole, including spot marks. A plate shear antitwist feature allows small plates to be sheared straight.

Pneumatic material guides, autolubrication system, and rolling slug bucket are standard.
