Aluminum resistance welding adaptive schedule helps improve consistency

WeldComputer Corp. has introduced a weld schedule for its resistance welding Adaptive Control® to address the challenges of aluminum welding. The aluminum adaptive weld schedule controls weld quality by automatically compensating for multiple sources of variations such as material surface resistance, geometry, and electrode condition.

The multivariable adaptive schedule helps reduce the incidence of bad welds, increase weld consistency, and reduce or eliminate the need for destructive testing, the manufacturer states.
