Exact has introduced Smart Shop Floor, a cloud-based application for factory operators and workers to retrieve job data, track time and materials, and record job progress within Exact for Manufacturing. The app creates constant, clear communication among all employees, from the back office to the shop floor.

The app combines real-time financial data with other core business functions, providing a holistic view of the business. It gives planners, purchasers, and accountants detailed insight to make calculations and analyze order information.

Factory operators and workers can input and access real-time job data as well, eliminating the need to distribute shop orders via paper. Operators can clock their time on a shop order, providing accurate and real-time progress data back to the office. The app is designed for portable use on a tablet or smartphone.
