CGTech offers version 7.3 of VERICUT® CNC machine simulation and optimization software. Changes to how users interact with the software help improve workflow, the company reports. The customizable interface features all-new icons, user-selectable color themes, and optional display of every window and icon. User-configurable "favorites" simplify setting up a simulation session.

The software, which eliminates the process of manually proving out NC programs, is designed for use by small shops with simple parts to OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. It reduces scrap loss and rework while optimizing NC programs to save time and produce higher-quality surface finish, the company states.

The product simulates all types of CNC machine tools, including those from such manufacturers as DMG-Mori Seiki, Mazak, Makino, Matsuura, Hermle, DIXI, and Chiron. It runs stand-alone or can be integrated with a variety of CAM systems.
