Compact marking unit made for small volumes
The Borries DotStar 520 is a compact, programmable workshop unit designed for one-off production runs and small-volume series. It provides for permanent, flexible marking on a variety of metal workpieces.
The 4.72- by 3.94-in. marking area allows for text of one or more lines in free scalable size, along with angles; circular arcs; and date, time, and consecutive numeration. The unit accommodates dot-peening and vibropeening marking fonts, as well as datamatrix coding to the ECC200 specification.
The machine comes with VisuWin SE marking software, developed to allow simplified entering of marking data and text parameters. A GUI enables quick installation and adaptation of marking layouts.
