Electronic pressure switch suitable for hostile environments

SOR Inc. has introduced an electronic pressure switch that offers supplemental continuous output of either 4 to 20 mA or 1 to 5 VDC.

The 805QS is a compact, loop-powered pressure switch suitable for hazardous locations and hostile environments where space is limited. It supports applications that require discrete, continuous output monitoring. Switch setpoints and supplemental continuous output zero and span points are field-adjustable via an optional calibration kit.

The window-type operation closes when the pressure is between the minimum and maximum setpoints and opens when the pressure is outside of them. Three types of switch functions are available, each of which changes to the open state to indicate a fault condition when the unit loses power or stops working.
