Gas technology app adds inert gas adviser

Witt has released a new version of the free iGASES for Android® and iOS® that answers in more detail users’ questions on technical gases and their use.

The inert gas adviser provides users with a recommendation for the appropriate gas composition. The gas lexicon contains the most important properties and physical-chemical properties such as density, vapor pressure, flammability limits, thermal conductivity, and safety information.

Required values such as pressure, volume, flow rate, temperature, mass, and other parameters can be converted to all common international units of measurement with the extra unit converter. The integrated flow rate calculator allows users to determine the right gas safety equipment for the design of technical gas systems with the help of the Cv value. The data sheets for the prescribed equipment can be called up directly from the Witt website.
