HEPA-like air filter has MERV 16 rating

Tri-Mer Corp. has introduced Tri-Flow, a new filtration concept that delivers HEPA-like performance with a MERV 16 rating.

The compact filters serve as an alternative to bag, cartridge, and pocket filters, which typically are rated MERV 10 to 13. According to the company, the filters provide two to three times more filtration compared to similarly dimensioned bag filters.

The product design provides inline pulse jet cleaning and maintains a low operating pressure drop. Typical filter efficiency is 99.999 percent on 0.5-micron and larger particles (by weight).

Seven filter media are available, including options for oleophobic, high-temperature, and anti-static applications. All media are pleated and continuously bonded. A rigid base molding protects the elements, while a mounting flange provides a dust seal that prevents bypass.
