Hybrid heat exchanger eliminates flat surfaces on which particulate can settle

Fluorotherm Polymers Inc. has introduced the Fluorotherm® hybrid frame heat exchanger for ultrapure and aggressive chemical heating and cooling. The product has been designed for use in pickling and temperature control of acid baths in the steel, pipe, wire, and galvanizing industries.

The heat exchanger inhibits particulate from settling on and fouling heat transfer surfaces. The hybrid design eliminates flat surfaces on which the particulate can settle. The materials of construction also inhibit particle buildup.

The large between-tube spacing allows for unrestricted fluid flow and contact between the fluid and the hot or cold heat-exchange surfaces, which helps maximize heat transfer efficiency.
