Industrial caster integrates electric motor

Caster Concepts Inc. has introduced the Drive Caster™, an all-in-one motorized industrial caster. It is available with a ¼-HP or ½-HP motor to move loads up to 6,000 lbs. at up to 5 MPH.

A second unit can be added to double the load capacity that can be moved and to enable tank-style steering, in which each caster pushes in opposite directions to turn. A control module can be integrated to help ensure proper use.

The caster is a retrofit, so there is no need to purchase a new cart.
