Lubrication control system controls dispensing to a fraction of a drop

Unist offers Quantum™ minimum-quantity lubrication (MQL) technology. The system interfaces directly to machines to digitally control lubricant dispensing down to a fraction of a drop.

Using the system with the company’s spindle kit allows through-spindle MQL. Since the system supports up to six independent outputs, it can be used with external spray nozzles as well as through-spindle.

The system can be controlled through discrete signals or through a command-based RS-232, which offers a nearly unlimited number of MQL rates. The user can specify the exact oil and air at any time and in any place in a CNC program.
