Orbital stretch wrapper secures oddly shaped, heavy loads directly to pallet

At FABTECH 2015, Muller showcased its Yellow Jacket orbital stretch wrapper for securing oddly shaped, heavy loads directly to the pallet. The equipment is designed to secure complex fabrications, metal parts, and loose assemblies on a pallet while simultaneously minimizing the time and labor traditionally required to secure the load to a pallet.

The orbital wrapper is a horizontally positioned stretch wrap machine that moves around and under a load as the device is manually advanced across the length of the load, minimizing the time it takes to wrap a load by hand. The company reports that it reduces the labor required for wrapping typical, large fabrications by 50 percent. The Yellow Jacket also eliminates the need for other strapping materials or expensive cartons to secure loads.

Manual or semi-automatic versions of the orbital stretch wrapper are available. The 87M requires a footprint of only about 8 ft by 9 ft. and runs on 110 VAC, making it easy to install in most plants. It also wraps a standard pallet size up to 68 in. diagonal.
