Packaging protects products from corrosion, UV exposure

Recyclable and nontoxic VpCI®-126 EM UV film from Cortec® Corp. combines high-strength resins with UV light stabilizers and Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI) technology. The film is designed to provide up to three years of strong multimetal protection for parts, equipment, and vehicles. It enables contact, barrier, and vapor-phase protection in aggressive outdoor conditions.

The film eliminates disposal costs and is suited for transit, staging, and lay-up of critical equipment, including equipment with large void spaces, multiple metals, and complex geometries. Parts protected with the film are ready to use with no additional cleaning or degreasing required.

Metal parts packaged in the film receive continuous protection against salt air and humid environments, moisture, aggressive industrial atmospheres, and dissimilar-metal corrosion. The corrosion inhibitors vaporize and condense on all metal surfaces within the enclosed space.
