Pass-through blaster offers 96- by 18-in. blast area

Viking Blast & Wash Systems has released the RT 9618 pass-through blaster. The redesigned unit has a blast area of 96 in. wide by 18 in. tall.

The blast wheels are arranged to blast leading and trailing edges of the work area. The unit also incorporates starters with phase loss and imbalance protection. Zero-speed sensors are standard on the driven end of abrasive conveyance shafts to help reduce downtime when components wear out or fail. Aggressive air intake allows for application of more air through the abrasive stream.

The cabinets are ½-in. manganese alloy. Roller conveyors in the cabinet are made of wear-resistant materials; external roller conveyors are optional. Roller conveyors have variable-speed and reversing capabilities.
