Sealed absolute linear encoders include Mitsubishi interface

The new absolute LC 195M and LC 495M sealed linear encoders from Heidenhain now are available for use on machines that require a Mitsubishi interface.

The encoders focus on the requirements for purely serial absolute systems for Mitsubishi drive components. The transmission speed of the Mitsubishi interface has increased from 2.5 MHz to 5 MHz.

Two successive pairs of sealing lips on the LC 195M provide an extra layer of protection against contamination of the DIADUR graduation, which is responsible for the positioning accuracy. The resolution of the encoders with an accuracy grade of 3 µm is 1 nm.
