Self-cleaning filter offers MERV rating of 16

Tri-Mer Corp. offers Tri-Flow, a HEPA-level filter with a MERV rating of 16 for submicron particulate and fumes. According to the company, bags and cartridges typically are rated MERV 10 to 13.

The self-cleaning filter’s design allows inline cleaning and recovery to maintain low operating pressure drops. It delivers efficiencies of 99.999 percent on 0.5-micron and larger particles (by weight), says the manufacturer. Filter changeout is tool-free.

All media is pleated and continuously bonded for maximum dimensional stability and filtration integrity. A rigid base molding protects the element; the mounting flange provides an excellent dust seal, preventing bypass, the company reports. Edge protection strips add stability and prevent accidental damage.
