Soft top jaws grip hard-to-handle products without marring surfaces
Dillon Mfg. offers turned or bored soft blank top jaws to provide a smooth gripping surface that holds the workpiece snugly with no marring of the surface. Extra-wide jaws are available to provide a wider gripping surface, especially for large-diameter parts.
The serrated soft top jaws are available in heights up to 10 in. Tongue-and-groove, Acme key, and square serrated style jaws can be produced to 14 in. high for longer workpieces.
Soft blank top jaws can be removed and later reused for the same operation or by machining to grip a different part until the blank is completely consumed. They can be produced from 1018, 4140, 8620, 1045, A2, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and plastic.
