Solid-state interface relays switch loads up to 240 VAC

Idec Corp. has announced the addition of RV8S solid-state interface relays to its RV8 DIN rail product line. The relays feature 100-mA to 3-A switching capability in a compact, 0.24-in. space. Other features include high switching cycles, extended operating life, and high-speed load switching.

The relays commonly are used as interface devices between a PLC or other controller outputs and a load with high power requirements. They perform general load switching in control systems for assembly machines, molding machines, and solenoids. They can switch loads up to 240 VAC and have passed 100,000 cycles of UL extended endurance testing.
