Stainless steel flat nozzle resists corrosion

Exair’s new 1-in., high-power stainless steel flat Super Air Nozzle™ produces a flat, 1-in.-wide airstream with a 16-oz. blowing force when mounted 12 in. from the target. Designed to fit into tight spaces, the nozzle is made of Type 316 stainless steel to withstand corrosive, high-temperature environments.

The nozzle maximizes entrained airflow while reducing noise levels, states the firm. A precise amount of compressed air is released through the 0.025-in. air gap opening that is set with a stainless steel shim positioned between the body and removable cap. The airstream pulls in surrounding room air to produce a forceful stream of high-velocity, laminar airflow.

Air consumption is 17.5 SCFM at 80 PSIG. It meets OSHA dead end pressure standard CFR 1910.242(b). Producing 82 dBA, the CE-compliant nozzle meets OSHA noise exposure standard 29 CFR 1910.95(a).

The user can adjust force and flow by installing different shim thicknesses. Optional swivel fittings and flexible hoses to aim the nozzle are also available.
