Synthetic dust collector filter resists moisture

The new HemiPleat® synthetic dust collector filter from Camfil Air Pollution Control (APC) combines a high-efficiency synthetic media with proprietary open-pleat technology for use in harsh, humid environments. The washable media is resistant to moisture and can handle heavy dust-loading conditions.

The filter uses a lightweight, 100 percent spun-bond polyester media in a pleated design that maximizes surface area while maintaining open-pleat spacing. The wider spacing of the design exposes more media to the air stream, resulting in lower pressure drop and improved dust release during pulse cleaning. The media can be washed and reused in applications with operating temperatures up to 160 degrees F.
