Glacier Computer's Ridgeline Tablet is a portable tablet computer designed for mobile workers in harsh environments. The Windows® XP devices can run any application while withstanding water and humidity extremes at nearly any temperature, the company reports.

The tablet computer has a touchscreen interface for sending and retrieving information. A 10.4-in. display has options for daylight readability. The computer is designed to withstand repeated 3-ft. drops on concrete and to meet IP65 sealing mandates. Each unit includes an integrated 802.11 a/b/g radio, Bluetooth®, numerous I/O, and many hard drive options. Users can input data via touchscreen or pen. Special software allows signature capture and character recognition.
