Water-soluble antispatter spray protects parts during welding

Henkel Corp. has introduced Loctite® SF 7909™ antispatter. This temporary coating is sprayed onto parts before welding to reduce the deposit of spatter onto unpainted metal. The spray does not affect weld reliability and does not need to dry before welding, so parts can move immediately to the paint process. The water-based coating rinses off with water or alkaline cleaners.

The product is packaged in a refillable, 16-oz. metal bottle with a trigger spray. The container will not melt if inadvertently exposed to spatter. A 1-gal. refill size also is available.
