MERV 16-rated environmental control booth provides HEPA-level filtration

Tri-Mer Corp. has introduced the Tri-Flow environmental control booth. Designed for use in plant areas where dirty or noisy tasks need to be confined to their own workspace, the booth provides HEPA-level filtration performance and has a MERV 16 rating. It is 99.999 percent efficient on particles 0.5 micron and larger by weight. Perforated acoustical panels contain and absorb noise generated inside the booth.

The booth has no air turbulence, no "hot spots," and no drafts, the company states. The collector pulls in dust through a grille that extends the full width of the booth, so workers can freely perform tasks throughout the workspace. Typical inlet velocities are 125 to 150 FPM.

Each booth is custom-configured to suit the application and can be expanded as facility needs change. Seven media options are available for applications involving electrostatics, fine dusts and fumes, high temperatures, or hydrophobic and oleophobic particulate.
