Polyurethane wheels handle loads up to 7,200 lbs.

September 12, 2012

New Ultralastâ„¢ wheels from Hamilton Caster are designed to handle heavy loads in continuous, high-speed use on smooth surfaces. The wheels are made from new polyurethane materials that minimize heat buildup, enabling them to roll smoothly under loads up to 7,200 lbs.

Two designs are available. The Standard has a 0.375-in.-thick tread that is chemically bonded to a heavy-duty, cast-iron center. The Super incorporates a 1-in. tread molded to a super-heavy-duty forged steel center.

Custom wheel combinations also are available. The polyurethane can be molded to the company's cast-iron, forged steel, and aluminum centers on finished sizes from 3.25 to 20 in. dia.

The wheels are suitable for heavy manufacturers, heavy industrial uses, and such sectors as automotive, aerospace, food and beverage manufacturing, and military contractors.
